  I ended up fast forwarding thru about 75% of it... One nice thing that HD-DVD does that I didn't know about is that you can access the menu and settings while the movie is playing!

  I had a 360 too until I purchased the Toshiba. I think it boots up quick, ~30 seconds I'd guess. The remote is pretty generic. I have a Universal Remote MX-850 so I can't help you there. I've heard really good things about the Harmony 880 programmable remote if you're in the market.

  Update: I tried to watch Firewall with Harrison Ford (just terrible), but in HD it looked great! Strange that you can watch HD content at 1080i through component, but it won't upscale normal DVD's unless the connection is HDMI or DVI...just crazy.

  I don't think the HD-A2 does 1080p anyway. 720p or 1080i will still look fabulous!

  I was already at Costco so I purchased it there for ~$160. I learned that both blu-ray and HD-DVD won't upscale copy protected DVD's using component, must be HDMI or DVI. Although it still looks good. Almost like being in the theatre since it has the grain of film. I'll try my first HDDVD movie tonight!
